Copy/Paste Issue

i'm having an intermittent copy/paste problem. OS is Win7 Pro 64-bit with all critical updates.

I can copy/paste within MS applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., but when I copy text from a .txt word document it will not paste into RV.net. it's worked in the past but not lately. tried a few suggestions thru a google search including removing and re-starting RDPCLIP.EXE and deleting a Word 12 data file from the registry. neither worked.

suggestions?

tried that earlier today with no success.

You may want to try placing both applications, browser and word processor, side by side using WIN 7 snap. Highlight the text you want to use in your post. Then, hold down your left-mouse button, and drag into your browser. Make sure you do so within the Forum's "Post a Reply" window. Does this method work?

nope, sorry. but thanks for the suggestion. never knew about snap.

  • I just moved to a newer computer this week with Win7 and today find I can't copy/paste to the forums here. Probably haven't been able to all week, just today was the first time I tried.

So I'm following this thread and hope someone posts the answers we both need!

I just copied and pasted your post and didn't have a problem. Sorry,I don't know what your problem is or how to fix it.
I have found that sometimes the blue copied symbol lies, so I always right click and select copy, just like with XP.
