Crank up sat dish

We have a DISH 501 receiver in the house which we put in the RV when we travel. The RV has the crank-up antenna like yours. It all works fine. When on the road, we're quite content with the content that comes from Sat 119.

I got exasperated at how quickly the elevation indicator battery would die, so I hard-wired the indicator into the coach's 12V system. Winegard sent me the necessary connector free of charge.

We also carry a folding dish and small PVC stand for use in locations where the RV is parked under trees. I have several cables totaling 150', which has always been enough to allow me to find a hole through the trees to get a signal.

You can use any Dish receiver in your home (except a Hopper) with your single LNB antenna. See some of the above post so you understand the limitations of using any Dish receiver with your single LNB antenna.

The single LNB antenna is not an "SD dish". It is fully capable of receiving the Dish HDTV programming when pointed to the 129 satellite. It is can only receive the SDTV programming from DirecTV.

I have the single lnb winegard crank up dish on my motorhome. Since it is only an SD dish with an SD tv, I went with a Dish 311 receiver. I can only get satellite 110 or 119 one at a time. I can only tune in to one satellite at a time and if I want to view something on the other satellite, I have to manually move the dish and go thru the setup program. I get the local stations on 110, so that is the bird I usually find first.

Well, I still do not know what kind of receiver I need to get sat tv in the RV..I have Dish at home so I would prefer it...I had a dish guy come out and he was confused because all he had was three sat recweivers....Im so old I cant keep up with all this stuff...

I am not sure what you might be referring to but all of the Winegard crank-up antennas are single LNB units and there is nothing available that can change that setup.

you will have have to turn dish to get all programing.i found 2lnb dish and used a tripod I also have dish network at home.tailgator might be a good option for you ken

No one has a receiver that works with a specific antenna it's a matter of what programming you can and cannot receiver based upon the antenna type.
In your case, a single LNB antenna can receive ALL of the DirecTV SDTV programming by pointing only at the DirecTV 101 satellite. You will not be able to receive any of the DirecTV HDTV programming.
Dish Network uses 3 different satellites to provide programming so you would have to pick one of the 3 and watch only the programming coming from that one satellite. Most of Dish HDTV programming comes from the 129 and about 70% of the SDTV programming comes from 119 so you might be able to find a happy medium with SD only and the 119. If you are so inclined, you could even re-point the antenna to a different Dish satellite (they use 110, 119 and 129) when you want to watch programming from a different satellite.

I used my Dish standard def receiver a couple of times with this same dish, and it worked fine. Awfully fussy to set up, though, so I decided TV wasn't worth that much trouble.

Not sure about the newer HD receiver - never tried it.
