Hello All,
I have some questions for the CW folks. To give you some history, DW and I purchased a 2008 MH from a CW sight unseen because we were in Germany (ARMY Wounded Warrior) with plans to return to the states in late January.
During the inspection I asked a few questions.
Where is the fuel/water separator? Tech : I don't know we only have one chassis guy here.
When setting up our 2013 Ford Focus to be towed 4 down, I was told to leave the ignition in the on position with the battery connected. I upset 4 of the techs and the managers by insisting they follow the instructions in my Ford owners manual. There was a serious communication break down between my sales person, the service manager and the tech because I asked for a battery disconnect to be installed, as stated in a e mail to the sales rep 1 1/2 months earlier. Basically, I was told, we know what we're doing. (I was made to feel like I was wrong). When they did not read the directions. (Ford says to disconnect the negative wire). Then they wanted the MH to supply the electric to the break buddy instead of hooking it up to the car battery.
We have owned the MH for 6 weeks, We used it for 3 and it has been at CW for 3. I don't want to vent the rest of this story on here, Because CW has essentially made me (a disabled Army Wounded Warrior) and my DW homeless. I would like to hear from Marcus personally to help address the major issues with my MH and that I am having with CW.
Why would you buy a motorhome sight unseen? It was a used RV, so why would Camping World be expected to know all the ins and outs of the chassis? Being a disabled Vet does not absolve you of all responsibility. Buying a used RV you have never laid eyes on and expecting it to immediately be your permanent home is optimistic at best. Sorry to be so blunt, but take away your injury and most people would view your complaints as sour grapes caused by an impulsive decision. Used RVs are not exactly scarce, there really is no reason to buy one without seeing it first. Nothing in your post has addressed the reason you can't use the RV. Maybe it is Camping World's Fault, maybe it is your fault or maybe it is no one's fault. Though many people on this forum will pile on and blame Camping World as a matter of principle, most people will want a lot more information before they take sides.
Well said.

What if his request had not included the first tid-bit:
