My buddy is really happy with the new sat dome on the roof. I think the Playmaker can be used as a portable with a different mount, but he didn't want that option. We chatted with the tech/installer while waiting for the receiver activation. He as over 35 years of experience and came from another local shop years ago when it closed up. He says he does 2 or more satellite and receiver installations a day. He really knew what he was talking about and we listened.
Yes, I have heard horror stories too, even about this CW. As mentioned before here, you seldom hear about the thousands of good experiences, only the bad. CW installed a replacement awning in my Winnebago class C years ago under the $59 install and the experience was fine from special ordering to the install.
