that sounds like false advertising to me, assuming the poster of that member was correct when stating that it was advertised as the genuine article. or was the poster expecting a $279 unit when he paid $17.98?

when I paid $17.98 or whatever it was for my dash camera, I was not expecting a top of the line and it certainly was not advertised as such.
