I re-read my post and dang I could have made it clearer. What I specifically meant was here I am down here. If I purchase a socket does it come with a pigtail and with an ereader the device actually can be connected to a USB port to download entire files into the Nook.
Because companies comply with the LETS DEPLETE THE EARTH'S RESOURCES AND MAKE NOTHING WE SELL REPAIRABLE Barnes & Noble and too many others do not make repair parts available. The freakin' environmentalists want to start a campaign that would actually do something, make it federal law that no electronic gizmo worth a hundred dollars or more can be sold unless it is repairable and has a parts distribution network.
