Difference between NiCad and NiMH batteries
My fence post tops for the steps to my permanently parked travel trailer have 2 solar powered led lights with rechargeable - AA NiCad batteries. Do I have to replace those batteries (one is no good)...

Frankly, Barney, I WOULD change to NiMh batteries....they are superior.....and I would bet dollars to donuts that that cheap solar charger for your step light is engineered no different from NiMh or NiCd.
