i'm not the OP but also interested in the subject. the TiVo's I've looked at all carry, at a minimum, a 1-yr contract. if not renewed does the TiVo continue to work?
as for the Magnavox...my BIL has an older version and likes it. but it and the newer variety can record only 1-pgm at a time.
