All of them can take HDMI IN
And two of my computers have HDMI out.
One of my televisions even has VGA (extended or super, not sure which) input.
So that is how I'd do it, Transfer to an external HD on your laptop, all plug and play and the DVR from the cable company comes with the software.
I do what I do because this IS my home (The RV) so it all gets recorded here.. And quite well I might add.
that would be super IF I could do that (i'm not the OP but I am interested in doing the same as the OP). the DVR Comcast supplies will not/cannot txfr programming to an external HD.
