Under the conditions you stated in the OP it will be one of the automated domes viewing Directv in SD and limited to viewing one sat at a time on up to 2 receivers. There are abundant choices in how one decides to take part in viewing sat tv while RVing, review your sat tv needs to make a final choice.
We've switched between Dish and Directv several times over the years and they are virtually identical, even in exclusive sports programming that Directv at one time had an advantage. Going with Dish would at least allow viewing HD content with current domes if you choose to stay within OP parameters.
I installed our first sat dish on our roof when Directv launched over a couple of decades back. We use an HD sat dish I purchased online for use when RVing. Very simple to set-up and we get all the satellites and same channels as home, takes longer to unwind coax than to acquire sat signal.
