Your existing D12 or a new D12 will not help. There can't be anything wrong with the old D12 if it worked before the installer changed settings. You just need to set them back the way they were. It's more likely that the new D12 will be setup for SWM than not as this is the new DTV standard. If not, maybe you will get lucky. Just be sure to never connect it to your home setup as it will automatically set itself up for SWM.
