This is exactly what my wife and I have done--we have Directv at home with Dish network in our Class C. I am happy with Directv at home, but wanted an portable automatic satellite (with HD) in the motorhome. I purchased a bundle of a 211z receiver with a Winegard Pathway X2 and am very pleased with the setup. When I had it setup in the Class C, the tech even fixed it so I can watch satellite (in SD only) in the bedroom. Whatever is on the receiver in the main room is what you will see in the bedroom. I can change channels in the bedroom with the dish remote. I can turn on and turn off the service as needed. I am very pleased with the setup.
