Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

Ok, how about our hero! Yes, I had my receiver on inverter for the last 5 hours, no signal, and lo and behold it stays on and I can watch my recorded shows.
