I am not getting into a pissing contest with you. Much of what you say is somewhat true but not completely. We have had this ability to watch prerecorded content up until the last few months. As you said if the DRV does not get an updated code it will no longer work so "loading up a DVR" and watching it for ever just does ring true. If I leave my RV offline for a month or so, all I have to do is call in to Directv and confirm my account phone number and they immediated resend the authorization code. I don't even have to go to the diagnostic section.
While you might feel this is an impossible task I hope that you don't mind if some of us make an attempt to get this changed.
