Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

I've talked to many techs and each one seems to have a different 'solution'. No one has yet suggested the PI to me. I guess that is possible, but if so there sure are a lot of failing PIs out there!

I didn't know the PI had an 'operating temperature.'
