Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

OK, I admit it, I performed the test wrong. I unhooked the DVR from the dish, but forgot to turn the power off before the test.

Once I did the test correct it rebooted from the signal strength screen in six minutes just exactly like before the PI change. Obviously the PI was not the problem. Now for another phone call. Isn't this fun.

Sorry for the confusion all.
