Once I did the test correct it rebooted from the signal strength screen in six minutes just exactly like before the PI change. Obviously the PI was not the problem. Now for another phone call. Isn't this fun.

Ed, just to clarify. It worked correctly out of the box ( with the old software) but the same problem occurred once the new software was loaded? It will help with the diagnostics if that is the case.
