Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

I doubt if my fifth wheel rides that smoothly, in fact, by looking at what happens to items that are not tied down I'm sure it would be rough go. No built-in shock absorbers.
