Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

Glad to hear it. We have been doing it that way for years and we have found it to be a problem if we did not do it that way for years as well.
It just never occurred to me to contact DTV and I hope that someone can find a cure.
