Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

Don't forget that keeping the DVR powered only buys you 12 hours till the DVR starts resetting. You have to reacquire a Sat signal every 12 hours or the DVR will start resetting, per Directv and my experience. The new rollout later this summer should solve this problem also.
