Directv DVR continuously resetting when no signal from sat

I think I finally found a way to get Directv's attention regarding this situation: Problem: You can no longer watch prerecorded programs stored on your DVR when you can't get a signal from the sat...

My HD/DVR is a 21/100 so I was thinking I was stuck. Nope...I got the d8 also. Haven't tried it without a signal but am sure it will work. Hoped they added the beeps back but no...maybe next time. The video baby monitor works fine. Thanks for the work with DirecTV!
