Directv problem
Earlier we tried to tune to Fox News and got the no signal msg. Only other channel that wasn't working was the New York ABC. Went to the bedroom tv and things were working there ok. Do we need a new receiver?

It's not a dish problem if the other TV is working, it's got to be a connection problem or that other box. Try doing the re-set, if that fails you're probably going to be needing new receiver.

- Sometime when I set up my Direct TV dish it will give me the weak signal error on certain channels. We usually tune to one of those weak signal channels. I go barely tweek the satellite till my wife says THATS GOOD !
- when calling Directv.. do not go thru the numbers., ask the voice for "Technical Support" 3 or 4 times.

but try the reset button behind the little front door.. FIRST. - Push the red reset button on the receiver first and see if that helps. Call their customer service which can be a big help walking through possible fixes.
Don - Go online to your DirecTv account and refresh your receiver.
