You can upgrade to Genie and SWM at home and get multi-room viewing and VOD. All the HR's are SWM captible so if you have as old as an HR20 you can hang on to that. Make sure they bring along the stuff to connect to your Internet too.
If you already have a Slimline, they will swap that out completely and the installer will likely leave you the old dish and set you up with a SWM LNB and PI for the road for a "tip".
I have their service plan and they just sent me an HR34 Genie for free. I was already SWM having gone to MRV (whole-home, multi-room, DECA) three years ago. There upgrade pricing is usually a pretty good deal.
