If you put one leg 180 degrees from the sat azimuth you can fine tune the elevation by changing this leg's length slightly once you get a signal.
OP, with a little practice it's not that hard to get the three usable signals you need for Direct HD.
The OP said he needed SWM and I don't believe your system will work with the new Genies (SWM) without adding a SWM8 to the antenna feed of your system. How far North will the 3LNB work on the old 18x20??
