No you can't go through your cable TV coax with your Satalite coax through the antenna booster switch. Just will not work. Too technical for me to explain. Been there, couldn't do it.
Has to do with the switch mechanisum that changes from the antenna coax to the cable tv coax.
If you do not have a seperate satalite coax connection intering the RV, you will have to use the flat piece of coax in the kit to go through a window.
BTW. you do not have to have a tech to set you up. Bad info from Directv. But then that is the norm.
One more thing, you must know the zip code where you are to get the settings for the dish - Elevation, Alz.and Tilt. You can call and ask for a tech to get the setting for the zip that you a located in or you can use the menu under satalite settings to get them. A tech can walk you through the procedure. WRITE IT DOWN step by step. I can never remember it.
I have set mine up and used it ALL over the US, Canada, and Alaska.
You don't need a tech to come out to do it. But you MUST know how yourself.
