You really don't need to get online with DirecTV or use the receiver to set up. If you have a smart phone, download SatFinder or use your computer and go to http://www.dishpointer.com/ , find the DirecTV satellites and put in your location. It takes us about 5 minutes to set up if using the spare dish instead of the KingDome. Chuck
