So it's sounding like if I don't want local stations, I don't have to call Directv? I should get my normal channels?? Not wiring the MH at this time.Your local satellite channels are spot beamed and you will not get them beyond about 200 miles. ie You won't get the lower channels including the major channels. So if you want the local channels for the new location you have to call DTV.
This is NOT the Over the Air (OTA) channels that you receive on your batwing/TV type antenna.
I found it easy to run a coax from the receiver to a outside locker.
