The answer is "yes". You need a power inserter and, I believe, an 8 way splitter. Not sure about the splitter, as long as the Genie is all you are using.

I'm not sure I follow. Don't disagree that a 2 way splitter is all that is needed with 2 SWM receivers. I thought we were talking about taking a Genie on the road.
I have a 21 volt PI followed by the 8 way splitter. I don't have any receivers, just a Genie and two HD DVR's. This setup would call for 9 lines so I am forced to set up one DVR as a single line instead of a normal dual line.
