Disabled internet adapter
I was having trouble with my router... and incoming internet landline. I wanted to switch from the in-line cable plugged into the back of my desktop... to the wireless card that is inside my computer....

I can give you some help there. But if there is a conflict on the wireless adapter you need to fix it first.
Most non-portable computers do not come with wireless built in, There may be menu options for it,but the card is not there. A simple USB stick is handy for those.
But first, WHILE WIRED log into the router and set up your Wi-Fi, if there is not currently a passwsord or pass phrase or pre-shared key or some other form of encryption, Set that up, REMEMBER THE PHRASE And do not be afraid of phrases liek 13axxSS0223s These are the most secure type.
Now make sure Wi-Fi is engbled and the most options (G and N are best)
Now activate the wi-fi adapter on the computer (you can remain wired) and choose your note (you should also change the SSID.. mine is Snafu.Net if you do not know the signifance of that, I do not know if GOOGLE will help. but Situtation Normal..AFU).
Find your node.. Click on connect, yhou should get a requiest of the pass-key, enter it, and make sure you get an I/P address.. Once you have that.. "Cut" (unplug) the cord (Lan cable). and see if it works.. NOTE will be slower in most cases.
This laptop is wired to my router, the one to my right is Wi-Fi as is the device to my left.
I saved this... when this happens again... I'll configure the router as you instructed.
