I have a Dish 1000.4 and standard LNB for both WA and EA. I have been told that I do not have to switch out my dish and lnb if I use a DPH 42 switch. I understand that I need three cables from the LN...

Tom, I haven't tried it since I need a Solo Node on our 1K4 for the Joey, but does the "direct connect" without the Node also apply to a DPP LNB connecting to a Hopper 2?
I think you'll lose one of the three tuners. Give it a try.
