Lots of wrong info, Big Katuna . . .
A twin-LNB 1000.2 dish is Eastern Arc. Otherwise a 1000.2 is a triple-LNB Western Arc.
There used to be 3 different kinds of Joeys -- Wired, Wireless, and Virtual. Only the Wireless Joey needs a WAP. The Wired Joey is networked to a Hopper using RG5 or RG59 coax. The Virtual Joey is no longer sold.
Hoppers (and Joeys) require an open-faced dish like a DISH 500 dual LNB, 1000, 1000+, 1000.2, or 1000.4.
