Just to clear up a few points about the Joey/Hopper system. First off you need the proper antenna - you need a Winegard Trav'ler or an equivalent stationary disk. The little portable units are not compatible nor are any of the dome units.
Second, your satellite inputs (2) go to a special splitter - the Solo Node which feeds the Hopper and 1-2 Joeys.
The Joeys and Hopper are connected via RG6 cable. HDMI is the best output to your TV but the Hopper unit also supports component (RGB) if you need to use it.
If you have a HTS system, you can get TV sound to the amp via the Hopper digital out or the TV digital out.
The Joey/Hopper system uses RF remotes.
Given the sensitivity of the Hopper 2 TB hard drive, and a switchable plug strip so you can completely de-power the Hopper when you are traveling.
