Pretty much, but I used to have a 722 and the Hopper/Joey system has much more capabilities.
For example, the Hopper is a media server that stores all your recorded shows -- this includes PTAT + shows that you select to record from the Hopper itself or any Joey.
You can play back any recorded show on the Hopper or any Joey -- at the same time if you want. If you play back the same show on multiple units, the system remembers where each unit left off.
PTAT also has AutoHop which allows you to skip all the commercials.
It slices, it dices.
