The Dish satellite Internet service is a rebranded Hughes Gen4 package. There is no part of it that's compatible with the Dish satellite TV service. The receiver/transmitter and dish are unique to the Internet service. Gen4 is spot beamed with various segments of the country in different beams. Switching from spot to spot is technically possible, but is not currently supported by either Dish or Hughes, making mobile RV use largely impractical. The dish also requires much more critical aiming than the TV services dishes.
