Excuse me for my ignorance, but can't you just switch antennae feeds for locals by using OTA for the national channels in the area??? Once out of your local area I mean?
If there OTA available. We frequently stay in an area of southern Colorado where there were no OTA at all and in the TX hill country where there are a couple of local OTA stations but no national network OTA channels available. In Colorado a quick phone call to Dish and we get Denver. In the TX hill country we get San Antonio/Austin.
Exactly! We just left an area in central Florida (a bit south of Bushnell) where the only network channels available OTA were ABC and PBS with our twice amplified batwing. With our dish set up, it was a simple matter to chat with Dish CS and move our service address there so we could get the Orlando locals. Now we're further south near Lithia and still getting the Orlando locals. Sometime tomorrow I'll probably have it changed to the Ft Meyers locals, as that spot beam will cover us here and at the next two campgrounds as well, as we move south towards the Everglades. The next change won't occur until late March when we move north to Clermont.
