As I understand it, NYC & LA network feeds are NOT spot beamed like most other locals. If you gave Dish a service address of a CG in NYC or LA, would you not get the feed anywhere you travel?
When I had Dish on the coach, all I had to do is call Dish and give them the address and space number I was in and they would send me the signal for the local stations out of Los Angeles. Never had any problems.
Now that I have Direct I have gotten the signal anywhere I have been in the west coast without calling them like I did Dish. I have had it now for about a year without any problems. I have not traveled to the east coast lately, so I can not comment on that.
