Dish Network and local channels

I have Dish and you can go on line to change locals or call the 800 number and they will change them every time you move.

go online to my dish change as i need yes its that easy

Not mentioned above, but when you go on-line at mydish.com, scroll down to the bottom and click on "contact us" and a new page will come up for either "service" or "support". You can click on either "chat now" and you will be connected with someone who can change your "service address". Be sure to have your acct number handy.

Or as mentioned, you can also call their 800 number, but you'll have to go through a bunch of "if you need xxxx push !" and so on and so on. Kinda a pain in the butt.

What others have said . . . you want DISH to change your Service Address to where you're currently camped.

DISH may think you're moving to a new house, but just tell them you're in an RV. That should do it.

Once in a while people will report that they've had trouble with this. It usually turns out that a rep is either following his "script" too closely or that a rep simply does not know what they're talking about. If this ever happens, just ask for their supervisor.

As others have said it's very easy to change service location so you can get 'locals' where you are. This will get you the major networks.

DVD's won't do that. :R

Yep, same as above. Just got back from Colorado. Called and changed our service address to nearest highway, local city, Colorado and began receiving Denver locals within about 5 minutes.

They will ask for a physical address for your new service address. If I do not know the address of the RV park I am in or if I am in a campground that is not actually in/near a city/town, I just tell them 100 Highway xx, nearest city, state. I once tried 100 Main Street, city, state but they said that did not come up as a valid address in their system. Turned out the small town did not have a Main Street. So I gave them the local highway number instead and it worked in their system. Every town has a highway nearby.

Should they ask, tell you are not changing your billing address, just your service address. But generally if you say you are in your RV they do not ask.
