Dish Network Channel Problems

Question

Just turned the "RV" service for a month.
Have the eastern arc antenna which worked well last summer in the Northeast states.
Pointed the satellite at the eastern arc.
Did the Check Switch.
Satellites, 77-72-61.5 came up as ok ok ok.
Backed out of the Menu.
Got a screen saying, "Welcome to Sat 61.5" (Don't remember seeing that screen before).

I'm able to select about 5 channels and that's it.
I have the Americn 250 package.

Any ideas why I cannot receive the all the channels?

Call Dish and have them "Ping" the receiver. You might also be able to do it yourself online.Craig

If you have not used it in a month or more they will need to reactivate your receiver. Give them a call.

Called and got a US rep that I could understand and talk to.Took a little bit, they got it working.Thanks for the help!!!Pat

If you go on line and log into your account then use the live chat you always get someone that knows what's going on. That's how I change the locals, I don't use the phone any more for dish.
