dish pay as go plan

Hello have a question about dish pay as you go plans. First I do not have dish at home otherwise I would pay the $7.00 for the extra service and save $$. My question is that is a monthly service and you can start, stop when you don't need it. Say had a 3 day trip planned and started service got home and turned it off would I still pay for the month or is a 30 day deal?

I heard people do that so that don't pay for the whole month, not worth to me to pay only few days here or there in a month.

Thanks,

Some people are being knowingly mislead by Dish employees or some employees are not aware how the plan works. A friend just went through this a few days ago when he signed up for the first time. I was there to help him set up the Wally, Winegard Playmaker antenna and his account. At first, he was told the service would run for 30 days and he would have to pay again when he wanted to activate the receiver again. This is NOT true! Nobody in his right mind would ever sign up for plans that start at $48 to watch TV for only a weekend, or even a week.

When you set up an account, you will give Dish a credit card or debit card that will be used to replenish the account as needed. The lowest programming package costs $48/mo and it offers about 50 cable channels. The only 'news' channel included in the basic package is CNN. For an additional $12 bucks you will get 'local' channels. There is a nifty Dish app that allows you to activate service without having to call. The app will also automatically change the 'local' channels to where you are.

To activate service, call Dish or use the app to activate the Wally. When done with the service, regardless if you used the service for 3 days or 15, call Dish and tell them to put your Dish Outdoors service on hold or suspense. Make sure to tell them you're not closing the account, you're only putting the service on hold. Unfortunately, the app does not allow you to put the service on hold, you must call.

Going forward, this is how the service works: Let's say you signed up for the cheapest $48/mo plan. You use the service for 3 days and then call Dish to put the service on hold. When you restart service again, you will be required to add another $4.80 to your account to bring it back up to $48. If use it for 15 days you will be required to add $24, and so on next time you reactivate the service. Bottom line is Dish will always have some of your money in its possession. Personally, I don't care since is only a small amount. Just remember, you will be required to bring up your account to full every time you reactivate the receiver. And don't let anyone tell you you have to pay for a full month when you're only going to use the service for a few days.

Hello... I have Dish for my RV and really like it..... It comes in 30 day intervals...You do not pay a reactivation fee when you want it again... you simply do not pay the next bill until you want 30 days of TV.

So it is 30 day thing, whether I use for 3 days or 30 days. I can't add different times to equal 30 days.
    Thanks
