The NFL regular season is about a month away, and Dish subscribers who are fans can exhale now. The No. 2 satcaster has reached a deal with the league to carry its NFL Network and NFL RedZone, more than six weeks after they went dark in a carriage dispute. Dish said in a brief statement tonight that it “has reached a multi-year agreement with NFL Network for carriage of NFL Network and RedZone. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.”:C

It's like a broken record with Dish. Every few months one channel or another is in dispute with them, then they settle.

CBS, NBC, NFL, FoxNews, Fox Nets, TBS, to name a few -- all have had their "outages" or threats from time to time. Sometimes it's just in a particular area of the country, especially for the networks.

Then you haven;t been around Dish as long as I have. CBS, NBC, NFL, FoxNews, Fox Nets, TBS, to name a few -- all have had their "outages" or threats from time to time. Sometimes it's just in a particular area of the country, especially for the networks.

I will admit that I have only had Dish for about 18 years but do not remember this occurring every few months.

x2 almost to the month. I think only once was one of our channels in question.
FWIW had the same issues with Comcast and DTV. Just normal.

Right now they have been without one of our main locals for a month or so. I called to complain about it and they said all they could do was send me an OTA antenna so I could get the channel. I explained to the totally clueless CS rep that I am too far from the locals to use an OTA antenna and that was why I pay for Dish. I told them not to send it. Of course they sent the 99 cent indoor antenna anyway.

I have been with dish around 18 yrs also. Yes, the occasional bump just like cable and Direct TV have. We also enjoy a reasonable price for what we get and these bumps are part of the negotiations to keep prices low.

Come on folks it's just business as the viewer numbers go up the ad rates do as well, many of that number are dish customers and dish wants a cut of the action. I rather dish profits come from them than from me.

Fox News channel and most local Fox channels has been in dispute since June with Disk... and still are.
