What brand and model of an external hard drive is recommended for the Tailgater to record TV shows? Thanks

The Tailgater does not use a hard drive, it's just a satellite antenna. If you have a VIP211K receiver, that's what you will connect your hard drive to. Do a search for 211K and hard drive, Western Digital (that seems to be the most popular).
