just have to buy one extra receiver cause we want two and it only came with one
Congratulations! You have a great antenna. However, many folks have great expectations about how this antenna works with 2 Dish receivers. IF (big IF) you can point the antenna to the 72.7 satellite then both receivers can watch any channels at any time. However, there is NO Network TV programming available on the 72.7 satellite so you can't watch ABC, NBC, CBC, FOX, CW and in most cases PBS while pointed to 72.7. Additionally, 72.7 is so far East that it's not a usable option if you travel in much of the Western US.
If you choose not to go the 72.7 route then both receivers will still work "as long as" the 2 channels happen to be coming from the same satellite. Dish uses 3 satellites to broadcast all of their programming (nearly all HD is on the 129) and the dome style antennas can only point at 1 at a time. If 1 users wants to watch a channel being broadcast from 110 and 1 user wants to watch something coming from 129 the 2nd receiver will fail.
thanks Bill we are in western us and Iam totally aware that both receivers will only get channels from one satellite at a time
losts of channels on 110 119 129
