- Big_KatunaExplorer IIYou can watch different channels just not on different sats.
- AllegroDNomadFirst, I would also recommend the X2. Not from personal experience, though. Just research. It has a great reputation and 2 outs. To watch on two TVs though, the stations must be on the same sat.
We have a Tailgater (original) and Wally. The Wally remote is so much better than the 211k or z. Had both. With an HDMI 1x4 splitter, we can watch the sat on any of 4 TVs. Limitation is that we can watch all TVs at the same time but they are all the same channel. Tailgater has 1 out and out Winegard Mission Roadtrip has 2 outs. We could add another receiver for the Roadtrip but don't want it or the extra cost. - Rover_BillExplorer II

YES! It makes it easier to level the satellite dish for faster acquisition. Keeps the rain from splashing mud onto the dish base and ants/bugs from crawling into it. May help to keep people from tripping/running into it. - trb46Explorer

The tripod helped my reception. There were a lot of trees around and the tripod helped me get a better view of the sky. It will depend on where you’re parked and the location of trees, if any. - Big_KatunaExplorer IIThe big advantage of getting both east and west feeds is that the Sats are in entirely different areas of the sky.
With a Dishpointer app I can “see” where the sats are and tell if there is interference from trees hills or buildings and pick which arc is in the clear.
This has enabled me to get a signal many times. - hotpepperkidExplorerMy travels are mostly West of the Mississippi River and I dont need a 2 TV option. Looks like the Wally is a good choice for receivers. Amazon has the playmaker, tripod, and Wally receiver package at $432 and change. Do I really need the tripod

Actually I would stay away from the tailgator and go With the Winegard Pathway x2. Reason being it will receive the eastern and western arc where the tailgator models will only get the western arc. Had the tailgator and sold it and bought the pathway x2. The eastern arc works better down south
My plan if I ever decide to go back to pay-pay-payng for TV instead of just watching OTA which I get for free and so much that I've around 500 Hours of STORED I've not yet been able to watch. - Big_KatunaExplorer IIAnother vote for Pathway X2..
- trb46ExplorerI have the Tailgater 3 with the 211Z receiver. It works as advertised and it meets our needs. We have the Dish RV package of programming. You need a clear shot to the southern sky for good reception.
- Rover_BillExplorer IIThe Pathway X2 is the premium priced dish that will work anyway in the USA. However if you're not planning to spend a lot of time in extreme northeast (NY, VT, MA, etc) the Playmaker will be more cost efficient solution.
