Yes, Dish allows you to move your receiver as long as you are the owner of the account and the RV / Cabin / Boat is owned by you.

I "move" to NY to a dummy address and get conus locals. I don't care about local news and I don't care about local weather. I only care about the NFL game or other programming.

If you care you can do the other items in my list and get locals.

No you don't have to call them up 10 times nor should you.

Bill.satellite, thanks, now when I get it on a satellite I can maybe get the Atlanta stations just North of Flagler Beach, FL
I'm making up new RG6 cables tonight so I can try to get 110/119 tomorrow.

You still will lose your Atlanta channels (all Network channels) if you drive your RV outside your service area (usually several hundred miles from home) but that has always been the case.

Your Atlanta locals will continue to work just as they are now. The only thing affected is the Distant Network Service from All American Direct that supplies the NY or LA network feeds nationwide to those that qualify by not having a fixed base where they can receive the spot beamed locals.

Now I'm confused. Does this mean in Feb.2014 I will lose my local Atlanta DISH, Eastern Arc,channels at home or just on the road out of the broadcast area?

There are advantages to both DISH and DRIECtv for assorted folks in the RV, for one thing though both Dish and Direct carry MOST of the same channels there are some that are exclusive to one or the other service... One I really like is on DISH.. ONLY. For others there are channels you find on Direct Only (And as it happens I do not care for those). So for me it's DISH. Also a DOME with a single receiver, can pick up all the DISH programming, SD and HD both, Not so with DirecHDTV, domes do not work (yet). Though there is a trade off here too.

As for DNS... That is a major issue.. However if AAD ceases operation, Perhaps someone else will pick it up.
