In my RV, I have both a UML290 on Verizon's Share Everything Plan and a Millenicom MiFi 20 GB/mon (Verizon network). Here are the results of daily speed monitoring of both units:
Average Downstream/Upstream speeds (Mbps) from May-Dec 2013 when we travelled cross country:
Verizon UML290: 6.9 / 0.8
Millenicom MiFi: 6.5 / 0.7
Average Downstream/Upstream speeds (Mbps) from Jan-May 2014 when we stayed in one Arizona campground:
Verizon UML290: 7.2 / 1.3
Millenicom MiFi: 6.2 / 1.3
