Does Using SmartPhone as Hotspot Ruin Battery?

I'm signing up for verizon smart phones and one of the big attractions was that I could use one of the smartphones as a hotspot and dump my verizon hotspot I have used for years --- would save me lots...

I try to only use my phone as a hot spot when the phone is plugged into the charger or my battery depletes pretty fast...

Yes...he's BSing you.... It drains the battery but doesn't ruin it
