Does Using SmartPhone as Hotspot Ruin Battery?

I'm signing up for verizon smart phones and one of the big attractions was that I could use one of the smartphones as a hotspot and dump my verizon hotspot I have used for years --- would save me lots...

Hi,

Some wifi hotspot devices have a problem with being constantly plugged in. Most do not.

I've used my cell phone as a hotspot for more than a week at a time. The biggest issue is running out of data.
