Some years ago we were staying at a "fancy" hotel when my wife inquired about purchasing the kind of sheets that were on the bed. The hotel put a hold on my card for the retail amount of the sheets. We didn't buy them and only found out about the hold when my card was refused for dinner that evening. I didn't have cash on me and thank goodness I had a different card available.
I see GS has replied. Often situations are resolved with us not hearing of the resolution. Please post back with the responses from GS.
