Keep in mind that a stand alone DVR like Tivo will not give you satellite TV reception. You must have a DTV DVR or DTV Tivo unit (do not buy one of these as they require a phone line to update the program guide) to receive DTV programming. The R12 was the last SD DVR before they moved to the H series receiver.
