I didn't mean to appear short, but I don't have a date, and no place to set the date. I can set the time, but there is nowhere to enter the date. You may have missed this particular model. It's not the Paperwhite, just a special offer non-touch Kindle. Even if it had a date I would not want to enter it since the ability to read past the return date can be handy.
